Terms & Conditions
Ticket and booking terms for events at Rio Grande Bradford
Last updated: 24 October 2026
The short version
- Tickets are non-refundable once they have been purchased.
- Tickets are transferable. If you can’t come, you can pass your ticket to someone else — just tell us who (see section 3.2).
- If we cancel an event, you will get your money back (see section 4).
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you buy tickets for an event at Rio Grande Bradford ("we", "us", "our"), 144 Woodhead Road, Bradford, BD7 1PD, through our website www.rio-grande.co.uk — including our Qawali Mehfil evening on 21 November 2026. By completing a booking you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not book.
These terms are separate from any agreement for hiring the venue for a private event such as a wedding. Those are covered by the agreement we give you at the time.
2. Booking, seats and payment
- One ticket, one seat. Each ticket is for one person and one seat at the table shown in your booking. Tickets are for the date and time of the event only.
- Ticket types. VIP tickets are for our VIP tables at the front, closest to the stage. General tickets are for all other tables. The price and what is included are shown on the booking page when you buy.
- Choosing seats. You pick your own seats on the seating plan. Seats are held for you for 15 minutes while you pay; if payment is not completed in that time they are released to other customers. You can book up to 10 seats at a time online — for larger groups please call us.
- Seating changes. Occasionally we may need to move you to different seats for safety or layout reasons. If we do, you will stay in the same ticket type and we will let you know.
- Payment. Prices are in pounds sterling (£). You can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal, processed securely by Stripe and PayPal. We never see or store your full card details.
- Confirmation. Your booking is confirmed once your payment has been accepted and we have emailed you a confirmation showing your table and seat numbers. Please check it and contact us straight away if anything is wrong.
- Promo codes. A promo code only applies to the ticket type it was issued for, cannot be combined with another code, and has no cash value. Codes must be entered before you pay; we cannot apply them afterwards.
3. Refunds and transfers
3.1 Tickets are non-refundable
Once tickets have been purchased they are not refundable. We cannot give a refund, credit or exchange if you change your mind, are unable to attend, fall ill, or arrive late or miss part of the event. This does not affect your rights if we cancel or materially change the event (section 4), or any rights you have by law.
3.2 Tickets are transferable
If you cannot attend, you are welcome to pass your ticket to someone else, free of charge. To do this:
- Email info@rio-grande.co.uk or call +44 1274 718920 with your booking name, the seat(s) you are transferring and the full name of the person who will attend instead.
- Please tell us as early as possible, and no later than 24 hours before the event, so we can update our seating list and find the booking on arrival.
- The new person takes the same seat and ticket type. We cannot change a ticket to a different ticket type or table as part of a transfer, though we will always try to help where we can.
- Tickets must not be resold for more than you paid or for any commercial purpose.
3.3 Your right to cancel
Because tickets are for a leisure event on a specific date, the usual 14-day right to cancel for online purchases (under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013) does not apply to them.
4. If the event changes or is cancelled
- If we cancel the event, we will refund the full price you paid for your tickets (to the original payment method), or, if you prefer, transfer them to a new date if we offer one.
- If we postpone or reschedule the event, your tickets stay valid for the new date. If the new date is materially different or you cannot attend it, contact us and we will agree a fair solution, which may include a refund.
- If the line-up changes — for example, a performer is unwell — we will tell ticket holders as soon as we can and agree a fair solution, which may include a refund if the change is significant.
- Running times and details are provided in good faith and may change slightly on the night.
- We are not responsible for travel, accommodation or other costs you may have arranged to attend, except where the law says we are.
5. Food and dietary requirements
Where a ticket includes a meal, it is as described on the booking page. Please tell us about any allergies or dietary requirements when you book, or as early as possible before the event, by emailing info@rio-grande.co.uk or calling us. Our kitchen handles a range of ingredients, so we cannot guarantee that any dish is completely free of a particular allergen.
6. Arrival, conduct and safety
- Please arrive in good time and have your booking name and table number ready. Staff will show you to your seats.
- Please follow the instructions of our staff, especially those relating to safety and fire procedures.
- We may refuse entry to, or ask to leave, anyone whose behaviour is unsafe, abusive or disruptive, or who is unreasonably intoxicated. In that case no refund will be given.
- Seats are allocated to ticket holders only; each person attending needs their own ticket.
7. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited or excluded. Subject to that, we are not responsible for loss of or damage to your personal belongings at the venue unless it was caused by our negligence, and we are not liable for losses that were not a reasonably foreseeable result of our breaching these terms.
8. Your information
We use the details you give us (such as your name, email address and phone number) to manage your booking, send your confirmation and contact you about the event. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that applied on the day you bought your tickets are the ones that apply to your booking. The latest version is always published on this page.
10. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute, although if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring a claim in your local courts. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
